Roswell is a rapidly growing community with an estimated population of 53,000 people. Roswell’s economy is growing and with that growth brings many new businesses and greatly expanding Medical services. Roswell is currently in the process of negotiating a full scale amusement park and other attractions to expand the city’s tourism (UFO’s). Roswell is also the home of the New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI). Roswell is located close to many points of interest such as national parks, great hunting and fishing, and family recreational areas , such as:
- Carlsbad Caverns
- Bottomless Lakes
- Ruidoso Downs
- Ski resorts
- Sitting Bull Falls
- Bitter Lakes National Wildlife Refuge
- Lincoln National Forest
With the City’s rapid growth the Department will grow and expand as well, creating openings and many possibilities for advancement.
