RPD and Emergency Dispatch Hiring

Roswell, NM Both the Roswell Police Department (RPD) and the Pecos Valley Regional Communications Center (PVRCC) are actively recruiting. 

 

Any individual who possesses the passion and fortitude to become Law Enforcement Officers with the City of Roswell Police Department are encouraged to apply.  The Roswell Police Department especially encourages individuals from Roswell, and the surrounding areas to apply.  In order to participate in the first phase of the recruitment testing (physical test), an application with the City of Roswell must first be completed.  Application information can be found at www.roswell-nm.gov, or by contacting Officers from Support Services at the Roswell Police Department:  Officer Lisa Brackeen, Sergeant Jimmy Preston,   575-624-6770 ext. 106 and/or 108. 

 

If you are a multi-tasker, who can remain calm even during the most frenzied situations, being an emergency dispatcher may be the career opportunity you’ve been searching for!  The Roswell Police Department is served by the Pecos Valley Regional Communications Center (PVRCC).  The PVRCC serves as the hub of the day to day operations of the Police Department, and Sheriff's Department, as well as both City and County Fire Departments. During emergency situations PVRCC becomes the center of activity for both police and fire. 

With an authorized strength of 18 including one Director of Operations, the communications staff is primarily responsible for nine emergency 911 lines, one seven digit administrative line, three direct dial personnel lines, and a total of seventeen radio frequencies that include police, sheriff, fire, animal control, and court security.
